Two Weeks Worth of Reuse

January 5, 2008 by Jennifer

Almost all items at your house have more than one possible use. Many have reuse possibilities. Before you toss (or even recycle) consider some reuse options. Here’s two weeks worth of ideas to get you going.

1. Aluminum foil

3. Plastic Jugs

4. Newspaper Plastic Bags

5. Old bathtubs

6. Baby blankets

7. Frozen juice lid containers:

8. Toilet paper tubes

9. Coffee grounds

10. Wine corks

11. Umbrellas — if you’re brave and if you’re not.

12. Microwaves

13. Broken crayon:

14. Wilting flowers

What’s your favorite alternative use for a home item?

Thank you! The aluminum foil link helped me fix a big mess I created Friday night when I ALMOST caught my kitchen on fire.

I accidentally slid a pot holder under the baking dish in the toaster oven. Yeah, there was a lot of smoke and a crusty red (from the deceased pot holder) stuck to the grill rack of the toaster oven. I have been soaking it and trying to clean it with a nylon brush.

I was about to give up and go buy some steel brushes, but the aluminum foil ball works! : )

These are great, Jennifer! I love the coffee grounds link, I never knew you could use coffee grounds as a kitty repellent. Who woulda thunk? Hope your New Year is off to a great start!
