Two More Green Toys Up Close

May 24, 2008 by Jennifer

Right now we’re running our Green Toys giveaway, and have been looking at the toys offered. So far we’ve seen the Cookware & Dining Set and the Indoor Gardening Kit. We’re going to look at the last two toys today, and then later this week learn a little more about the actual Green Toys company.

Sand Play Set – super cute and includes a shovel, hand rake, cool sand castle mold, and of course a bucket. Perfect for summer beach fun.

Last, but not least, the adorable Tea Set. I really like this set. If you were setting up a kitchen play station for your little one, this and the Cookware & Dining Set would go great together. The tea set is jam packed with everything your child needs for a fun tea party; well except tea and cakes (you can work on that). The set includes: Tea pot and lid, sugar bowl with lid, a little creamer cup, tiny teacups and saucers, spoons.

Eco benefits of this cookware and dining set (like all Green Toys) include:

  • Easy open 100% recyclable packaging made from recycled corrugated boxes with no plastics, cellophane or twist-ties.
  • Made from plastic made from recycled milk containers.
  • Locally produced – as in, every step in the process, from milk container recycling to toy production to final assembly, occurs in one place (in this case California).
  • Contain no traceable amounts of Phthalates or BPA.
  • Designed without any external coatings – non-toxic, no lead, no icky paint, etc.

I have never heard of Green Toys before, but they are so cute! I love the fact that everything is environmentally friendly- plus, as a parent trying to open toys on Christmas morning, it is refreshing to see something that doesn’t require you to “bring out the brigade” to open up.
