We frequently talk about small steps you can talk to reduce your impact, but sometimes it’s nice to see a good old list all in one place. Some of these ideas will save you money too.

A few ideas on How to Fight Global Warming:

•Keep your car’s tires properly inflated, and change the air filter for gasoline savings.

•Carpool!

•Take your own bags. Plastic bags require petroleum to produce.

•Keep shades closed in summer.

•Use weather stripping to seal drafts around doors and windows.

•Buy clean energy certificates to help the renewable energy market.

•Choose a fuel-efficient car.

•Install a programmable thermostat.

•Upgrade to Energy Star products.

•Don’t speed when driving!

•Don’t let your engine idle when waiting to pick up the kids at school or other times.

•Substitute chicken, fish or veggies for red meat. Read about the study on how this helps.

•Remember reuse is even better than recycling.

•Stop using as many disposables as possible.

•Use compact fluorescent light bulbs, but dispose of them properly. Check your city’s hazardous waste disposal guidelines.
