One of the best ways to eat less meat as an adult is to love vegetables as a kid.
Look for these books the next time you go to the library:
Oliver’s Vegetables. Oliver learns that there are other foods besides french fries.

A Turkey for Thanksgiving. Well, not really. The book is a fun portrayal of a vegetarian Thanksgiving holiday.

Aldo Applesauce. Aldo is a new kid and a vegetarian who gets made fun of at first.

The Jumbo Vegetarian Cookbook. I think the name speaks for itself.

I figured that with Thanksgiving yesterday food is on the minds of some of us. And if not this tree featured by Food Frenzy is still way fun.
This 12-foot tall chocolate tree, complete with more than 300 marzipan oranges and 10,000 chocolate leaves was created by Art Institute Chef Instructor Rick Royal and a team of 60 students and alumni for the 2007 Celebrity Food Show in Anaheim.

The tree was created to honor the 150th anniversary of Anaheim’s existence.

Black Friday Sales Aren’t So Green

Of course if Black Friday was eco-friendly I guess it would be called Green Friday.
First off I missed you all the last two days. My sister came into town and surprise there was a two day notice that everyone is coming to my (now sort of tidy) place for Thanksgiving so I’ve been busy the last couple of days.
