As I noted in Organic Tees for Back to School, I’m rather fond of the organic cotton tee that Mine Organics sent me to review.
Though they carry adult sizes, their focus seems to be mainly on kids — from infants all the way to youth. Since I don’t have a kid to stick a shirt on, you’ll have to do with my adult review. Yet, I should mention Mine Organics also sent me a little girl’s tee that was very adorable. Since I don’t have a kid to stick a shirt on, you’ll have to do with my adult review. Yet, I should mention Mine Organics also sent me a little girl’s tee that was very adorable. I gave it away, and the recipient found it to be one of the softest tees ever.

Why this is my favorite tee of the summer:

• Extremely breathable and lightweight. I’m suffering though days of triple digit temps, and this shirt is one of the coolest I’ve ever worn.

• Durable. I’ve washed and worn this shirt about a dozen times now. It still looks and feels great.

• Soft! My tee is made of 100% certified organic cotton. I can feel the difference.

• Cute designs. Not only does Mine Organics offer a variety of earth-friendly messages on their tees, there’s also a cute little earth on the back of the shirt. That’s me in the photo!

• It comes with a handmade recycled paper tag embedded with wildflower seeds. Water and grow.

Mine Organics was started by two sisters and parents, Kim McLeod and Nikki LaBelle. They strongly believe that “one person or child doing even the simplest thing will help our environment.” And Mine Organics is one way the sisters chose to spread their message.

Mine Organics tees are available in a few retail locations, or you can order online.

Yes, I can say these tees are the “ultimate” since I tried one of them. Except mine was the adult size.
I’ll do a product review on it coming up later. For now, I’ll just say — very comfortable!
Mine Organics, an organic cotton clothing company started by two mothers, offers a hefty dose of stylish green for back to school.
Sizes include infants, toddlers, youth and adults!
All tees are 100% certified organic cotton, and even feature a tag containing wildflower seeds.
And of course, the tees rock with earthy-friendly messages.

I used to be a Starbucks freak. I loved nothing more than sneaking away from my desk where I worked to take a short walk for a latte. It was an afternoon treat, or sometimes an after lunch thing. Occasionally a breakfast thing, if I got there in time.
I quit that job and the Starbucks habit. So, I don’t care all that much that my nearest Starbucks is closing. Even if I did care, there are five other Starbucks a short drive away. Not kidding.

But, if you are me three years ago (Starbucks freak), then you may be wondering what to do if your nearest shop is closing. Maybe you aren’t as lucky as Jennifer, who gets to live in the coffee utopia of the US, where there are plenty of choices besides Starbucks.

Now is the perfect time to brew your own organic coffee, at home or in the office.

My favorite organic coffee is from Stumptown Coffee Roasters in Portland, OR, but I don’t always order it. I also like Ugly Mug Coffee. Sometimes I buy Archer Farms organic coffee at Target.

I’ve gathered some organic coffee reviews and info for you. They’re from Marye at Kettle & Cup. Enjoy them while you sip a cup.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters: Newman’s Own Columbian Especial
Simple Ways to Green Your Coffee & Tea

Will the Starbucks closings mean you make your own coffee more often? If so, what are you drinking?
