I’m serious about coffee – almost to an obsession. I always brew in the morning, and then usually at least once in the afternoon. (Yeah, not the healthiest habit, but this isn’t about that.) Anyhow, Friday night I was up late writing, and on Saturday when I got up I REALLY needed coffee. Much to my anti-delight, I woke up to a completely dead coffee maker. Mine is old, but to be broken first thing in the morning; that’s a crisis.

According to 100 Things (among other places), “The average two-person household unleashes about 20 tons of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases every year.” So the real question is how can you live without this poster? It’s modish, attractive, and has dozens of helpful reminders about the things you can do to keep your home green and your family and planet healthy.

This Valentine’s Day: Think About Green Architecture
I have a nasty flu. Nice Valentine’s Day surprise, huh? I’m not feeling very lovable but green architecture almost always makes me happy – so let’s go there.
Besides this blog, I also write Offbeat Homes for b5media. I write a lot of green architecture posts there that I’m torn about – i.e. should I post it here or at Offbeat.
