Toy of the Week: Finger Puppet Fun

Planet Happy Kids has all kinds of great earth-friendly toys, accessories, and projects for your happy kid. This company is super in-depth which makes them a winner. On each product page they list “What We Love About This Company” so you get a nice snapshot of how come a specific item is worth buying. It may be organic, creative, or Fair Trade, but whatever it is, Planet Happy Kids fills you in. I love that.

I like the Fair Trade Alpaca Wool Finger Puppets. Super cute, simple, and fun, these little animals won’t cost you an arm and a leg. You can have a triple shot for under $30.

They have lots of adorable animals, so it was hard to choose favorites. I picked three I like, and you can go here to see the rest, and also to see these puppets up close. I choose Monkey, Snake, and Tiger.

Non-toxic Stuffed Animal Friend: Cheetah

I thought that since Peggy’s Hug This Animal, was the Cheetah today, I’d find a non-toxic toy version for the kiddos. That’s was difficult. I did find two cute stuffed pals finally though.

The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) is a charity, “Devoted to the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats.” They have a super cute cheetah friend who is non-toxic and safe for ages 3 and up.

Or there’s the Mini Chunky Cheetah available from Kenana Knitters from the Ethical Superstore. This little fellow is 100% wool, dyed naturally with plants and vegetables, and handmade by fair trade producers in Kenya. Actually, not to get off base but they also have an adorable Mini Chunky Octopus too – winter style with hat and scarf. What’s with all the cute octopus toys lately? Is the octopus the new black or what?
