Kid Activity: Indoors Recycled Tumbling Fun
January 6, 2008 by Jennifer
Here’s a fun way to make a cool indoor activity out of recycled goods. Perfect for winter boredom.
Project: Recycled tumbling friend.
You will need:
Felt of any color (scraps will work).
Glue and or tape
Scrap of poster board — really the trick is you need thick paper material that can be rolled. You could use thin cardboard too.
A 1/2 inch in diameter steel ball. You can get one at your local auto repair shop — ask for an old, worn wheel bearing ball. Any heavy ball will work. It does need to be heavy though so a marble (no).
Markers — permanent are best.

Klamath National Forest Old Growth Cedar Tree
Cedar, like sage is often used in home entryways to ward off bad vibes, bad spirits, and other beasties. This Legend of the Cedar Tree is a good story for families to share. Some of the best reasons to preserve our forests is the tradition that trees can represent to various cultures.
