One Small Step: Solar Stain Fighting

If you have delicate fabric that somehow becomes stained, try bleaching with the sun.

Cover the spot with basic table salt and lemon juice. Place in the sun for a few hours. Brush away salt, and wash how you normally would a delicate fabric. Not so sure that this will work on super tough stains like wine, but it works pretty well on yellow, and other light colored stains. If it works, of course you’ve just reduced your need for chemical laden stain removers. Yay!

Make Your Own Solar Light!

This came about because I have a new blog. My new blog is Slices of Green – you might want to check it out. In any case, I featured a cool mason jar solar light.
