Recycling Video for Smaller Kids

February 16, 2008 by Jennifer

One of my earliest Sesame Street memories is of the cartoon where a cartoon earth is singing about not trashing the earth. I LOVED it. It was the first time I remember thinking about my impact (really). It’s kind of remarkable because this was in the 70s and green issues were barely making waves, yet, Sesame Street had it covered, at least somewhat. Currently, Sesame Street often shows really cool shorts about saving water and electricity. Plus they discuss recycling and trash control a lot.

I searched high and low for that earth video – because it was my favorite. Sadly, I can’t find it. So for the littles today, I found another good video. This one is perfect for the preschool set; it explains recycling in easy terms. Enjoy with your little ones.

By the way, later today I’ll post a kooky recycling video for the older kids – believe me you will not want to miss it. It rocks.

I really like the videos you posted on this website. I was looking for videos on recycling to show for a part of my presentation/final for my teaching Health education course. These videos will do nicely. Also, I like the sesame street video of the world singing about keeping it healthy. I’ll let you know if I find it. Thanks
