Quick Eco Wedding Tip: Greenest Wedding Gown

May 7, 2008 by Jennifer

The greenest wedding gown may not be organic, or hemp, or even made under very green circumstances. However, if you fit into your mother’s gown, and like the dress, this is the greenest option of all, because it requires no new use of materials or energy to make.

If your mother’s dress is not an option wedding consignment shop is the next best thing. Buying used, for an item, you’ll only wear once (hopefully) is your best green bet, when it comes to wedding gowns.

I found a fabulous eco friendly wedding gown that turned out gorgeous from Conscious Clothing. The silk was an organic hemp mix and it was luxurious and I didn’t want to get out of the dress! The seamstress sewed my grandma’s lace on the bottom of the dress to adapt the style, she was very good and easy to work with. http://www.getconscious.com/gowns1.html
