DramaMama,

My favorite way to warm tortillas is on an iron skillet (the flat kind). I usually use corn tortillas and they don't do as well in the microwave.

I'm glad you've been able to kick the paper towel plate habit. I've been good so far too. I didn't realize how often I did it.

I'm still under one roll for this month.

I didn't get a chance to comment earlier...so here I am! We used a few sheets for warming up tortillas and hot dogs. My hubby reminded me to use a plate for the hot dogs and I seem to remember my grandma doing it in a cup of agua. Anyway - we could have done the tortillas in the skillet or oven I guess, but they stick to a plate in the microwave. We did save the paper towels for something else, but I can't remember what. I'm so glad to be free of buying them again!

Jodi, thanks for checking in. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who used a paper towel as a plate. I haven't done it this week yet! Placing the cloth napkins beside the paper towels is a great idea. Please let us know how it goes.

We used about 3/4 of a roll last week. :( We had such a busy week of school things, appts and such.. that I didn't get to journal what all they were used for. But I know most were used as hand towels by my daughter. She does reuse these either a 2nd time, of for a napkin later. But we're still trying to break her of her paper towel hand drying habit. I think I will get her some nice organic towels just for her to use. We did use a lot for napkins. I am going to look around the hosue this week for a basket or conatiner to keep my cloth napkins in. Then I am going to place these on the counter right under the paper towels. And of course, we used way too many for "plates". So this week we'll be more conscience of what we *need* a paper towel for, and grab something else instead. :)

I completely forgot that I was suppose to be doing this challenge but I think, for what I have stopped, I've done pretty well. I will have to post an update on blog of what I've done but it might take a day or two, lol.
