I love this thinking. I have a lot of books on eco-ed, or I should say the lack there of. This is one of the major reasons I unschool. I wouldn't make my worst enemy sit at a desk inside for 16 + years - why I'd make my child do so is a mystery to me. Schools seriously need to get on board with eco-ed. I remember wanting to be outside and being so bored when I was in school. Even now I would much rather go outside and read a book, draw (or blog, lol) outside.
