Nature Walk Photos: Mallard Ducklings and Turtles

Continuing the nature-themed kid Saturdays, I wanted to share some photos from my walk this morning. The nesting Mallard hen I told you about last week is still nesting. Now the shrubs have leaves.
But on the other side of the lake some ducklings are already swimming around!
Meanwhile on turtle island . . .
I can’t get too close to the turtles or they will plop into the water. I love to see them sunning on the stumps though.
Have you seen any ducklings in your area yet?
More cute turtles! Cedar and I both got cameras (finally), so we’re going to the lake this week to hopefully get some cute frog photos.
Yay, congrats on the camera purchase. Frog photos will be fun. I don’t see many frogs where I live, but I always screamed when I saw them when I was gardening. They scared me, but I’m not afraid of them.
