		<description>I&#039;m thinking that if you left the rain bowl sitting for days and days that the water in the glass would evaporate - maybe (?) I&#039;ve never tried leaving it be for a long while. 

Maybe the plastic would keep it from evaporating, from what I understand, the plastic traps heat (like a greenhouse) but because it&#039;s heated (the water and air) the water vapors rise, hitting the cooler plastic, which turns the vapor to water again. 

That&#039;s my nonscientific explanation. I&#039;m not a scientist though so :)</description>
