Meatless Meals: Posts This Week
This week I’m going to serve a series of posts about meatless meals. I’m not a vegetarian, but I am currently trying to eat more meatless meals. I don’t eat that much meat as is, but I have found myself struggling to come up with recipes that don’t focus on meat. And I get tired of chicken.
I’m won’t try to convince you to become a vegetarian, but I’ll hopefully inspire you to incorporate more meatless meals into your cooking routine. And, if you’re a vegetarian, please leave us some comments on your favorite meals.
So, check back this week for:
Why Eat Meatless Meals? There are some very good reasons.

(By the way, this is also a photo of my cooking. It’s a favorite meatless meal of mine: roasted taters, steamed carrots, cornbread made with yogurt, sliced maters and green beans
cooked with onions. Variations of this meal and hummus with feta and tomatoes on pita were my two all-veggie standbys, but I need to expand.)

I like your site, i am also not a vegetarian, but i am also trying to make less meat in my home. We make a salad everynight, we make green beans, spinach, kale, swiss chard and romaine lettuce, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, bok choy, cauliflower and cabbage. I make them Indian style or sometimes Asian style. We also eat lentils. And whole grain bread with peanut buttter. For dessert we make a huge fruit salad,my dd’s favorite Cantaloupe, oranges, grapefruit, papaya, pineapple, kiwi, guava and grapes are all also excellent choices. Apples and bananas. We have been eating like this since jan, we don’t even miss meat. My dh and i lost 42 lbs together without trying, it feels so good. We do eat meat sometimes, if we go out to dinner or a party, With all the hormones in meat, it really is not healthy.

Anita, that sounds like a darn good fruit salad! And you make a good point. Weight loss is an excellent side effect of eating less meat. Thanks for visiting.
