Kisha, hmm. Have you found a special favorite farmer? People have been giving my parents bags for years. They farm, and they don’t think it’s weird. Though, one thing that always bugged me a little is when some people would give them bags that were way too waddled up. There’s no need to make a firm wad!! : )

the first couple of times I asked some of the vendors at our Farmers Market they looked at me funny, lol.

That’s a great idea, I’m sure the market vendors will appreciate it! Plastic bags seem cheap, but supplies like that really add up. :\
