Manor Hall Soap Company Info

July 15, 2008 by Jennifer

Before I announce the Summer Scrub Down Contest winners, I wanted to do a quick company info post. I missed doing this last night, and today’s lunch turned into sort of an outing. Long day. Now that I’m back, just a couple of things about the company.

Manor Hall Soap Company is sponsoring our summer scrub contest, and if you’ve been keeping up with the reviews I’ve done, you’ll note that I really like their products. I’ve loved many of their items, and while some haven’t been perfect for me, I haven’t disliked any. You can read all the soap product reviews in the following posts.

I’ll likely have one or two more product reviews up at some point. A few other points about this company:

Packaging: When I was sent the box of sample the company owner noted that she packed it like she does all her purchased items. The packaging was very cool. Just a basic box of course, but she used recycled shredded newspaper for packing and plain white recyclable bags for items that might leak. Also, I really like the simple designs used on all the product labels. All ingredients are listed and while simple, the packaging is pretty enough for gifts and recyclable.

Values: This company has some nice values:

  • All products are vegetarian and animal free; 90% of their products are vegan.
  • No testing on animals.
  • The company is introducing more and more organics as I type. Organic oils are more expensive, which has been one reason the whole company is not organic, but they’re working on it. So props to them.
  • Their labels are all very clear and complete – you know what’s going onto your skin.

Specials: Manor Hall runs some pretty cool specials at their website – something that might entice you to buy (in case you’re not a contest winner. They run specials like…

Overall thoughts: The owner of the company has been very nice to work with, and trust me, not all companies who send me sample items are. To me a nice owner is a sign of a great company. The products are great, very homemade feeling, and yet unique. The packaging good, and prices under what you’d pay for naturals and organics elsewhere.

I give this company: tree-smile-49×591.jpgtree-smile-49x5911.jpgtree-smile-49×591.jpgtree-smile-49×591.jpgtree-smile-49×591.jpg

A perfect five out of five happy trees. I’d buy from them and recommend them to anyone looking for natural, organic, and great smelling products that work well and cost less than most of the competition’s products.

Next post I’ll announce the contest winners!
