Leaping Bunny Eco Symbol

Here I go with the symbol talk again. This eco symbol is really cute, I think. But what it stands for is humane treatment of animals, something that goes way beyond cute.

Do you think about animal testing when you purchase cosmetics and household cleaning items?

The Leaping Bunny logo is the only international symbol that represents the toughest non-animal testing standard. Since each company must agree to be independently audited in order to assess the validity to its claim of “no animal testing,” Leaping Bunny is different from other cruelty-free labels. If you want to be sure that a product is not tested on animals, looking for the Leaping Bunny logo is a very smart thing to do.

The Leaping Bunny logo grew out of the efforts of the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC). CCIC was formed when several animal protection groups banded together to help solve the problem of misleading animal testing claims confusing consumers.

To find licensed companies, check with the Leaping Bunny Shopping Guide.

You can also help spread the word about cruelty-free shopping with a banner ad on your website. Go here for the code.

I love this logo! I started buying non-animal tested products back in Middle School. I was always an animals activist, but I really started figuring out ways of doing something when I got to middle school. I was the only kid in my entire grade that did not have to dissect the frog or the pig & was able to still get an A but working on the worksheets in the cafeteria, lol. Love this site!
