Kiss My Face - Good Inexpensive Organics
While I make some homemade beauty and health-type items, over the years, I’ve also tried different company products. One of the less expensive companies around is Kiss My Face. There are a few places I know where you can get cheaper organic body care goods, but not many.
I thought I’d bring them up, because today I got a new lip balm from their company - Cranberry Orange Lip Balm, Kiss My Face - 15 SPF. I really like it. Sometimes lip balms, or lip glosses fade super quick, but this lip balm stays on for a long time. It feels nice and silky smooth too, with a light, but nice scent. Of course being Kiss My Face, there are other benefits.
- Recyclable packaging.
- Organic ingredients
- Never tested on animals
- No extra chemicals or artificial colors
Other organic lip balm flavors with SPF include:
- Vanilla Honey
- Strawberry
- Ginger mango
- Sliced peach
- Mint
I’d have liked the ginger, but the only other one at the store was peach (blah, good for eating, not for wearing). The cranberry orange is nice though. And at only $2.50 not a bad price.
Kiss My Face makes oodles of items, many that I’ve tried, and all are well priced. I’ll round those up and post a list later with good KMF buys and not so good. I am recommending this lip balm though. My lips feel smooth and if it wasn’t 4am, I could go out and still be protected from the sun!

I just saw this yesterday via a link on the mothering bb.

It made me look again at a lot of products I’ve bought in the past.
I like that Dr. Bronners is committed to having better and more honest labeling practices.
This is really disappointing to me, though I should know better and always read labels sometimes if I am buying something that states natural or organic. A lot of times in healthcare and beauty items I don’t, cause maybe I trusted the companies a little too much. Argh.

Jennifer,
Do you like it better than Burt’s Bees?

Not to say that the KMF balm doesn’t rock! I meant to add that in to my previous comment :) I will have to try the mango ginger. I LOVE ginger stuff. I bought this lavender lip stuff from the farmer’s market and while I love lavender, it’s like the lavender is kicking me in the face, blech. I’m ready for something new.

@Rachel I’m kind of surprised that KMF is on there. They’re pretty upfront; like they’ll say “54% organic used” right on the label. Which is why I noted that they’re not a total organic co. They also have an extensive website that covers Q&A about this stuff.
That said, you do have to be careful. If pure organic everything is your goal, you really need to do your research before buying stuff.
“lavender is kicking me in the face” - Ha ha ha. Too funny. That sounds like something I’d say. Except about some other scent, you can never have too much lavender (for me).
@Peggy what do you mean? Better than one product or as a company?
I have issues with both. And also can’t bring myself to buy any BB right now.

@Peggy Yes, I like the lip balm much better than BB. It’s smoother and honestly lasts and lasts - longer than any lip balm I’ve tried.
