Is Global Warming True? Does the Truth Even Matter?

Many people think global warming is a funny joke, a conspiracy to drain funds, a false idea created by crazy tree huggers. This video below is one of the better basic conclusions I’ve seen about global warming. I think that weighing odds is important and if we don’t weigh the negatives and positives we could be in trouble.
Simple, easy, and hard to argue against.
Global Warming is not true! It is a natural earth cycle. All of the charts and graphs prove it from over the years. Democrats/Liberals believe in that environment stuff and global warming. It IS ALL NATURAL!! The things that those people arent mentioning is the fact that the poles are getting bigger! They are the reason why gas prices are so high up! Me and my family say screw global warming and we have our 2500 dodge ram to prove it! So get over it. When new Jersey and Florida floods then i will believe it =P.
Well, yours is one opinion. And your back up theory is not bad; some of the shifts are likely natural but I doubt all of them. Honestly, I hope you’re right and that the scientists saying otherwise are wrong.
I think we are in the middle of a natural shift in the planet’s climate. This does not mean that global warming is bunk. Humans have helped speed the normal process of climate change, but I’m not too worried about it. If another Ice Age comes of this, then human population will drop and our impact on the planet will lessen.
I hope the people who are driving huge, fossil fuel guzzling vehicles feel the pinch. Doesn’t bother me, it makes me smile when I see someone with one of those monsters moaning at the pump. my legs require no fuel other than the locally grown foods that help sustain our local enviroment and economy.
Global warming is a load of shit! algore is a dick, hes a polition who only wants money! hes brainwashing us to beleive that if we dont help the environment our next generation is going to die!! well doesnt he think positivly. NOT! Hes just trying to get back at us cus he didnt win the election. Its a scam! hes trying to take our freedom away from us, next he will be saying what type of car we have to drive, what clothes we have to wear! we should be thinking for ourselves. dont let our freedom go.
I am not convinced that either side is accurate. I am waiting for evidence that is objective and factual. We ALL need to remove EMOTION from these arguments and calmly evaluate all of the documentation. Kansas City is one of eight cities in North America where the temperature was over one degree COLDER than the last several years. And, Kansas City had the LEAST AMOUNT of days over 90 degrees in the last ten years than any of the decades that preceded. Does this mean that the planet is actually getting COLDER? Global Colding might be an option as well……
great arguement. you really put some things into perspective there. what a concept – regardless of whether man-made GCC is true or not, according ot the cost-benefit-analysis, we should do something about it. althgouh i personally believe in man-made global warming. is it just coincidental that the more carbon we belch into the atmosphere, the hotter it gets? and podium – global warming caues extreme temperatures on both fronts – hot and cold.
Kate is a bitch, it is so abvious that global warming is real… Yeah lets just go and think that the politics are taking away our freedoms to drive cars that hurt the enviroment and not like gas costs alot… We need a cheap alternative anyway and you are a dumb bitch who needs to get laid. There is no reason to be immature on the situation, and if you have seen the graphs of the historical earth temperature pattern, you would say wow this is a natural earth cycle. I live in CT and a long long time ago there was more than a mile of ice above where i live now. That had to melt someway?? Let me guess GLOBAL WARMING?? nooooo So let people have their opinions and stop being so immature. So what if you like Al Gore and she didn’t you have no right to make someone about their beliefs. She was just stating what she thought on the situation. No one wants to see your vulgarness online just keep it to yourself!
I think……………. that global warming is true and is caused by us (humans) and nature, how do we know the sun isnt just heating up? or the barrior around the earth is just getting rusty? please comment back

I tend to believe that we humans have very little to do with GCC (global climate change). Naturally occuring forest fires and volcanic eruptions spew more carbon dioxide into the environment than 100’s of thousands of cars and SUVs. The US is one of the “greener” countries of the world. We have so much regulation of industry and vehicular emissions are extremely low. Yet, China, Mexico and many other third world countries have no regulatory oversight dealing with air quality. We share the same air, folks. We need to follow the money with this whole global warming phenomenon. Who will benefit if every person and business has an allowable carbon footprint and you will be taxed or fined if you use more than your allotment? Doesn’t Mr. Gore want to be the Carbon Credit Czar? I’m sure there is some serious money in that. Remember, we only have empirical evidence from the past 200 years. And the past eight years have seen a cooling of the earth, not warming. What is up with that?
Excuse me “whats up” but i was just having my own opinion, no need to get agro geez! and there is also alot of evidence to prove tht global warming isnt true…and even lots of scientist dont believe in global warming either..and the weather data satellite data,the only truly global data set we have, actually show a global cooling trend during the past 19 years. Well i also feel that global warming is TRUE! otherise why are the ice caps melting? why is the earth’s temperature increasing? Because of a natural life cycle?NO! its because we use up so much energy..waste so many fuels into the air and allow the greenhouse gases to do their work and store their heat! If we didnt use electricity much..cars AT ALL!..factories and many more then you would realise that it is US who is making this world deem less and bad for the future. Okay the ice caps are melting! But think for yourself in another 50 or so odd years time if ALL THE ICE CAPS MELT then how will people possibly live? How will people travel to work? Swim?..BUT what if anyone cant swim. I appreciate all your opinions and i do agree with most of you. But i personally have this opinion.

I believe that Global Warming is real. You know what? Even if i am wrong and its just another cycle the Earth is going through, it wouldn’t hurt to cut down on the emmisions, or to hold back on clearing the Amazon. I mean, isn’t it sad we only start thinking of the effects of what we do, when someone tells us it’s going to effect us in the end. So we cut down trees thinking of all those animals without a home with a clean concience, but suddenly when it comes to us being effected theres a big deal?!

well It’s not exactly natural but humans have nothing to do with it it’s solar activity the earth is warming but it’s gotten ALOT hotter. you really have nothing to worry about. besides the entire human race only produces 1% of the total carbon produced yearly so go ahead and drive your dodge up and down the street. look into it a bit.
