Hug This Tree: Lemon
I don’t know if anything looks nicer than a bright and shiny lemon tree. They have pretty leaves, flowers, and fruit. Lemon trees are thus triple threat hug worthy. Not to mention all the great dishes lemons can be used in.

The best part is that any tree hugging family can grow their own organic lemon tree!
Viva Terra has some of the most amazing eco items at their website; including a tiny Organic Dwarf Meyer Lemon tree. It grows full size lemons though so lemon dishes a plenty are good to go.
For the kids check out this giant lemon! Now that is a lot of ice cold lemonade.
For the older more adventurous kids maybe a lemon battery experiment is in order.

Wow, the amazing lemon and the tree it grows in… Don’t you want to hug a lemon tree today?

If I ever live in a climate that supports lemon trees, I am planting one. I love lemons.

Well, you can get that tiny one. I think I might. I love lemons too — you can use them for everything. Cleaning, cosmetics, air freshening, eating, drinking. They may be one of the most perfect creations ever.

I love the lemon battery experiment - what fun! This post is so fresh and I totally agree with you on Viva Terra, their stuff is beautiful and so eco-friendly. I’m so excited to see this site going and it looks great!

Thanks Ali! Your comment is so nice. Viva Terra makes me drool. If I were a stuff hound I’d so hit them — often. I wanted to show all their cool items. I held back.
Thanks for stopping by :)

I have a lemon tree. Do you know how can I keep some lemons to use after May? Thanks.

@Jane - if you have the room you can freeze whole lemons. You can also freeze just the juice, or just the shredded peel. I’m not sure about how long you can keep them in say, a cool cellar, but I’m guessing not long. Check with your local gardening extension - you can find them through a local greenhouse or nursery.
