Hug This Tree: Binary Tree

November 6, 2007 by Jennifer

This is not a real tree obviously. But it’s so cool I want to hug it. This fellow running a website called Rainy Bay Art creates various art and one sort of art he excels at is Etch-a-Sketches. A former Oregonian — (go Portland folk!) this artist has all sorts of interesting designs to see at his site but I like the tree art below best.

It sounds like you can commission him to create you a masterpiece as well. If you’re worried art like this is ruined with one good shake — don’t be. He explains how to make an Etch-a-Sketch shake-proof in his FAQ (very interesting read).  This would be fun for kids to try and a good greener project if you pick up the Etch-a-Sketch at a thrift store or garage sale. If your kid gets really good and creates a great piece painting the outside frame might be neat too.

It is very grokable. Also, I think people are going to start thinking that we are groking crazy if we keep talking like this.
