It sounds like you're into everything natural so you'll probably want to hear about a new health resource. UnBreak Your Health - The Complete Guide to Complementary & Alternative Therapies (Loving Healing Press 2007) is the place to start your healing journey. It was awarded Finalist in Best Books Awards for Health/Alternative Medicine and was recently featured in Well Being Journal magazine.

There must be a way to do that. Personally I think placing vanilla in honey might be useless, it seems like the honey would overpower. BUT I've never tried it. I like blackberry infused honey, and it smells like blackberry some, but I'm not enough of a honey genius to know how they manage that one. You could do an experiment! Or maybe Linette at Mother Earth's Garden would know? Hmmm.

Sounds delicious. I am wondering, do you think that warming honey with a vanilla pod in it would impart a vanilla smell?

This is in my head...warm the honey, place the pod in (after opening and all), then place in a covered jar for a while.
