FYI - ChicoBag has new bags coming out. The new bags have longer handles. Now you can have a choice if you want the longer or shorter handles. I prefer the shorter ones, but everyone is different and I would think having some of each makes it convenient for different uses. The bags are highly durable. I've even carried rocks for my garden in them that I know weighed more than 25 pounds.

I forgot tot meantion that my daughter loves them and I've had to buy her a pink one (she is in a pink stage right now) for her for when we go shopping. I think the colors I have are pink, orange, black, brown, and blue.

I love this bag, too. I keep most of my cloth bags in my car for shopping and I keep finding myself going into the store with my son for one thing and finding many sales going on and then I have only one bag with me at checkout with a 4 yr. old so I can't run out to the car to get more bags.

Now, with this bag always in my purse, I am covered and they are pretty strong. My local health food store sells tons of them. Genius idea for the stuff sack to be sewn into the seams so you can't lose it.

I meant to comment on the colours as well. But I felt I'd waxed poetic enough. I have them in orange, green & pink.

Thanks Kisha. I haven't thought of using them for produce bags. It's also nice to know they hold up well in the washer.

I love love love love love love these bags. I bought mine at my local Co-op a year ago and they are so nice to use for that reason. They are small and clip to my purse and the bag left in the car. I need to take them with me when I buy produce so I can put them in there.

They are small so big trips (which is what I usually do) they don't work so well but like someone else said they are great for wet clothes, library trips etc. I've thrown mine in the washer a couple of times and line dried them and they seem fine. I haven't had a problem with them at all.

Annemarie,

Thanks for your response. I think I may agree with you that these bags are ideal for smaller shopping trips. And yes, they come with a one-year warranty, but they may last longer than that. I can't say. Oh, and the colors are awesome!

I love, love, love the chico bags. In part because I'm bad at remembering to bring reusable bags, but because these fold up so small I always have one in my purse. I don't find them as handy for big grocery shops - our grocery store sells super-sturdy flat bottomed bags - not because they don't hold a lot, just because they're not flat bottomed. But for a few groceries, or when you're running errands at the pharmacy, the bakery etc they're so much better than accumulating a bunch of little bags.

They are also great to pop in my purse and then when I'm out and about with the girls (2 & 4) and they shed their coats, or their socks get wet, or we bring home artwork from daycare etc. I always have something to put it all in. Also, whenever I pull one out of my purse everyone asks about them.
Plus I love the colours. Plus I love that they can be recycled (Chico says they last about a year I *think*, I've only had mine for about 4 months so I can't comment). I've put mine in the washer (top loading in a delicates bag) and hung it to dry no problem.

I have about 3 so I can rotate them or when I'm doing lots of errands. I've bought about 7 and I'm constantly giving them away. They are hard to find locally (I live in Vancouver, BC) so I buy mine online from chop chop timber (www.chopchoptimber.com) but I just saw them (branded) in Whole Foods today.

Okay, enough raving. I just love them so much! Admittedly I'm not an expert tester like you, but I've only heard positive feedback on chico bags.
