Have Some Green Weekend Fun
I had planned to show some greener kid reusable bags but there’s just not much that’s kid specific out there. So, my advice; have your kid carry one of your bags – he/she can do it – my seven year old does just fine with mine. What does help it having two sizes of handles though (which my bags do).
While bag searching I happened by one of my favorite places, Core77, and found some total laugh out loud fun for your weekend pleasure. It’s even sort of green, and possibly getting greener. Coolness all around.

Do they sell something?: So far just band-aids, acetaminophen, and shirts. (I know; stay with me.)
Are they green?: Yes. Take a look at this statement from their site; “Many companies enjoy packaging their goods inside nasty materials covered in gaudy graphics.That’s because many companies are controlled by crazy people.
Most of our packaging is made of molded paper pulp. We enjoy molded paper pulp because it is soft and it makes interesting shapes. Also because it is made from 100% recycled materials and it is compostable- which means one day, it will probably become a part of a large tree. Maybe you can cut down that tree and make it into a speedboat.”
Ha.
The simple design loving me totally digs their packaging – nice and plain, say for travel, or other times you need a band-aid, shirt, or acetaminophen. Plus you save on those annoying plastic containers that can’t totally be recycled.
Are they fun: OMG yes. This month has been a nightmare work wise, so what do I do? Mess around at their site this morning – for WAY TOO long. You will not be able to pull yourself away. All their copy is smart and funny in a nice dry way. They don’t seem like they’re trying, but they’ll crack you up.

Kid bags- Ever get a tote for buying books or a backpack? My kids love carrying stuff in those.
The totes have the kids favorite characters on them, too. Diego, Dora, and more. You can also get free totes from the library. A reusable bag is really nothing more than a re-purposed totebag!
