Green Linky Love

by Jennifer on April 27th, 2008

hawaii_beachesLink love and green news from all over…

First a new blog:

Today we’ve got a link from a brand new b5media blog - The Hawaii Traveler.

This blog recently launched and I was happily surprised to see a lovely green post right off the bat - Keeping Hawai’i Green: Eco-friendly Travel.

I’m not AT ALL the tropical sort. Not once have I ever thought, “Gee, I should go to an island!” - I’m much more the cloudy, cold, gray waves of Humboldt sort. That said, I actually stuck around and read some posts, and they were cool. Posts like…

The Superstitious Person’s Guide to Hawai’i - awesome.

Ka’anapali Beach: It’s All Good - mainly I read this because I always say nutty stuff like, “It’s all good.” Turns out that Ka’anapali Beach is not an all good sort of place for me, but it appeals to many. Find out why.

I also took in Vog Blog -a post I think your kids would love. It’s really cool, explaining why a vog is sort of like fog but not.

In all interesting green news and links:

6 Green Social Networks You Should Join

Ok, you may not think salad spinners are green - but they are. Think of all the paper towels you’ll save using one. Seriously, I’m addicted to mine - I take mine with me places. If you called my friends they’d say, “Why yes she does carry that darn spinner around - she’s loony that way.”

Jargon Watch: 100 Mile Style

Sustainable trash can - I never thought a trash can could be so cool.

Organic juice - choosing a juicer - this is a good post but think long and hard first folks; many people don’t use a juicer at all making buying one a total waste of resources. I used to want one for wheat grass, but you can use a blender and thin strainer if you don’t make homemade juice often.

The Biofuels Scam, Food Shortages and the Coming Collapse of the Human Population - one informative, well-done rant

For pete’s sake quit drinking diet soda! Aspartame has never been healthy but now you can read about how it damages your brain as well.

Did you read anything cool this week?

    Hi—-Jennifer:

Good round up, i need to do one over at Keetsa, and Groovy Vegetarian.

I’m glad you liked my article, “6 Green Social Networks You Should Join Today”, thanxs for linking to it.

    Enjoy what’s left of Sunday.

Its raining cats and doggies here in my town, today, yuckers. Couped up doing laundry and what not.

I love the rain - but then I was born and bred in Oregon. Then moved to Humboldt. You take me out of the rain, and I start getting sun induced seasonal affective disorder. I’m not kidding. I was a mess in NM.

Good post though, it’s hard sorting the social circles out. Hopefully you have a fun Sunday anyhow, in spite of the rain :)
