Good Lord, It’s A Meme

So, I was tagged by Ali which is actually semi convenient as I was planning an Ali plug anyhow. Ali’s not new to b5; she was already spilling green news at Daily Tomorrow.

However, she’s got a brand new green blog in town called Greener Assets. I adore the topic of green investing because we can make smart choices with our money if we know how. Greener Assets will be able to help you do this.

If you want to make money choices that are not only financially sound for your life but the planet as well than Green Assets is the place to be.

Now as to the meme…. It’s supposed to be 7 random things about me that you might not know so on with this show.

1. I HATE memes. Long-time regulars who followed me from say, Balance to Offbeat likely know that I am the worst tag ever for a meme because I usually won’t do them. I complain and whine about it until maybe months have gone by and I remember; “Heck I was supposed to do that meme.” In fact, I’ve been tagged quite often and in my whole blogging career I’ve followed through on exactly one meme. This was due to the fact that Susan at Brandcurve tagged me and I adore Brandcurve. If I hate memes so much why am I doing this one? Well, lately I’ve been re-hashing the whole meme deal and decided that one once in a while won’t kill me plus I like Greener Assets.

2. I was the world’s biggest X-Files fan. I cried (yes, literally cried) when the show ended. I love Scully and even had a tiny Scully doll with her own cell phone and alien on a gurney. Yes this is sad.

3. I’m all about health. I write about it all the time and hope that other people participate in healthy-minded activities yet drink more coffee than any one human should be allowed to drink by law.

4. I think that the person I have affected most with all my talk about sustainability is also the person I care about most; my son. However, I don’t think I’ve affected the person I care about second most in the whole world even one little bit when it comes to green issues and I doubt this person will ever be even semi-sustainable.

5. I am completely not brave about trying new foods and rarely will do so.

6. If I ever have a daughter I am naming her after a song but which song is a secret.

7. I wish my birthday was a different day. I was born on a major holiday and each year it falls on or around this holiday. I’ve never had an actual real birthday party bash on my birthday and almost no-one remembers that it’s even my birthday (including family). Everyone’s busy, I get it — but I still wish my birthday was some other time of the year.
