Farmer’s Market: Make the Organic Suggestion

March 11, 2008 by Peggy

organic-farming-book.jpgFresh, local vegetables are almost in season again in many areas. If you have a favorite farmer you buy from at the market, try suggesting they grow organic produce if they don’t already.

Farmers listen, and they want your business. One book you can suggest, or even give as a gift, is Organic Farming, Everything You Need To Know by Peter V. Fossel.

I gave this book to my dad last year and he loved it. He’s a farmer and he’s looking into organic methods because his customers at the farmer’s market asked for it. See, I don’t make this stuff up . . .
