Eco Education Resource

August 21, 2008 by Jennifer

If you’re a homeschooler, or would like to introduce your child’s teacher to some good green curriculum and activity ideas, then Kids for Saving the Earth is a stellar resource.

There’s one downside – music plays on the homepage and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to turn it off. That annoys me. I hate being inundated with website music I didn’t choose. Other then that, this is a great resource.

Perks:

This program was started for a little boy who sadly died of cancer, but the back story is more happy then sad, and worth a read. Overall, if you need a good way to jump into green education, this site has most of what you need, and can help you plan your course of green action.

Awesome site! I’ll be checking this out more and we’ll be using the info for Earth Scouts. I think we might just end up joining them as well. :) Thanks for sharing!

The site is very useful and provides and outlet for youth and adults to come together to fight for the earth. Another great resource for teacher lessons and cirriculum about renewable energy, science and other ways to teach about renewable energy science is http://www.kidwind.org
