Earth Friendly Photography – Aaron Chang Gallery Grand Opening Event
February 20, 2009 by Jennifer

Just in case you happen to be both a Tree Hugging Family reader and an art fan I thought I’d let you know about the Aaron Chang Gallery Grand Opening Event.
What’s up?: Aaron Chang Gallery Grand Opening Event
When & where: February 28th, 2009 (7pm) at the corner of North Cedros and Cliff Street at 124 East Cliff Street, in Solana Beach, California. Click to RSVP.
About Chang: Chang is an award winning photographer with over 100 magazine covers to his credit. His client list includes names like Macys, Sanuk, Mercedes Benz, Nike, Levi’s, as well as his own brand.

Eco-Chang: Chang’s new gallery work (large format photo) premiered at the W in San Diego. The nature based collection is inspired from Aaron’s lifetime of traveling the globe – i.e waves in Tahiti, waterfalls in Bali, deserts of Southern Africa and San Diego beaches. Chang’s images can be printed on paper as well as recycled aluminum, copper, plastic, wood and glass so they can be used both indoors and outdoors as unique design elements. Chang also uses earth friendly dies and organic wood frames.
According to Chang, “I have always had a true passion for capturing nature’s beauty through photography…” Plus Chang is donating some of the profits to the Surfrider Foundation because he feels, “It is essential to support organizations like them who help to preserve our earth.” high quality large format prints on a variety of materials.

I really like Chang’s work at the galley. He covers many topics, all of which are interesting, but my favorite images are the amazing surf and ocean pieces – very bold, but still casual and real. That said, I do adore this tree image below as well…

If you’re going to be in California, I’d highly recommend stopping by this event – the work is amazing, and life size, I’m betting it’ll be even better. Visit the Aaron Chang Gallery to see more of his beautiful work.

That is beautiful, especially the tree image at the end!
You like the tree huh – I thought you might. I love that image, but the surf pictures are enthralling. I usually don’t like pictures of the ocean much – I’d rather see it in person, but he pulls these off so well. I want that blue green print.
