Thanks for this post. I’m planning to put a link on our site to it soon. Maybe we’ll put it in our ezine, too.
We like the SIGGS. We don’t sell them, but you can get them all over the place.
You should also think about what you are putting in your SIGG or other water bottle. If you are on a municipal system you probably have chlorine and fluoride in your water, which in the view of many, including us, you shouldn’t be drinking.

I’m looking at klean kanteen, too. I’m not keen on the “made in china” thing, although they have a defense of that in their faqs. The issues I’m facing now are: What’s the enamel inside SIGG bottles? Will it chip? Reviews indicate that SIGG bottles get dinged up. Given all those questions, if I am assured that stainless steel doesn’t make water taste funny, I’ll easily go with the slightly less expensive Klean Kanteens.

I did find a selection of SIGG bottles through REI, if I decide to go with that.

Well, we could do a new post on this topic. However, for now, I can tell you that SIGG is not the only bottle out there. I just bought two bottles from Kleen Kanteen for my son and I, and I really like them. You can even get them with sippy attachments for wee ones. But there are others out there as well. It’s just SIGG and Kleen Kanteen are maybe the most popular. Also, if you search around, you can find SIGG bottles in stock elsewhere, like at reusablebags.com, amazon, and other places. You just won’t maybe get the color you’re dying for. But you can find a bottle.

I came to Tree Hugging Family as the launching point for shopping for new water bottles for our family (no explanation needed there), and when I went to the SIGG website, I found that they have put their internet orders on hold until they can meet the demand!

Have you considered doing a new post on this issue, considering the #7 plastic news?

Those are very nice. I use stainless steel bottles. I’m a fan of Green Feet and Klean Kanteen. I take them with me everywhere even when I go to the gym. I really like that these are customizable.

Linette ~ That bottle is pretty huh. I actually thought it fit you because of the flowers but I think I’ll pretend I just knew deep down about the chocolate issue.

I LOVE that pink bottle you picked for me. It actually looks like my favorite coffe cup in design (mine is green by default versus choice). I think it must be my pink hair that made you think of me when looking at pink. Sadly, it is brown for the winter (I needed to save money to buy house).
