Christmas in July Crafts for Kids

by Peggy on July 19th, 2008

Are the kids getting tired of the pool and cartoons?

Get them to try out some Christmas crafts. The holiday season is always extra busy, so now may be the perfect time to make and store away some special holiday treats.

tin-can-luminary-craft.jpgGrocery Bag Gingerbread Folk from Family Fun. Oh, this one is too cute. I know we’re supposed to take our reusable bags, but I might have to cheat a little closer to Christmas.

Reindeer Craft Treat Holder using clays pot from AmazingMoms.com. Sweet gift holders or place settings!

Christmas Tin Can Luminary from CraftBits. Young kids may need some help with this, but the end project will be adorable. (pictured)

Snowglobe using baby food jars from Kaboose. Customize this for any occasion.

HOW CUTE! I love this idea. I start feeling crafty this time of year. Usually, I start painting the house, but our house is new which means we are poor. SO, gettting a head start on these projects is do-able. Especially the luminary cans. I think I will find some cans and work on these with the kids today.

I’ve made tin can ,iminaries before. It’s a fun craft. The Gingerbread Folk would be cute made from felt also, and might hold up a little longer than paper bags.
