I’m not sure what’s more scary - all the toxic chemicals in home cleaning supplies, or the fact that someone in 1971 thought this would be a kid friendly commercial. The FDA regulates lead and cadmium levels in dishware here in the U.S. Not that the FDA catches everything; dishes have still been found in the U.S full of lead, but it’s one regulation that’s supposedly in place. Imported dishes are not under regulation.

W.A.T.C.H. just released their worst toys of 2007 list. If you are buying gifts for kids this holiday season than this list is a must read.
It’s not an all-inclusive list though. A good bet is to buck plastics and battery operated toys. Although, I know that’s not the most helpful stand-alone suggestion.
