INK + WIT: Sustainable Art for Kids & Other Green Goodies
September 4, 2009 by Jennifer
INK + WIT is one of my favorite places around for children’s prints with an eco-flavor. Plus, INK + WIT carries oh so much more than just children’s art. In fact, I’ve written about INK + WIT Green Wedding Invites here before.
About INK + WIT:
The company was founded by artist Tara Hogan who also does all the illustration and design for INK+WIT’s lovely products. Her visions and pieces are beautiful and often nature based which I like. About her perspective, Hogan says, “I have a loving appreciation for nature’s intricate beauty combined with modern urban style. I see the world …read more

October 28, 2008 by Jennifer
Ok, some might think I’m biased since I do blog over at Inhabitots, but seriously, don’t you think that these new Organic Owl Baby Tees are totally adorable…
I think that they’re the perfect holiday gift for all tree hugging families with little ones. And no, I don’t get a bonus for saying that. In fact, I’m going to order my own soon – for a friend who is expecting.
The tees feature ‘Habby’, the Inhabitot owl mascot, and are made from 100% organic cotton. They’re hand-printed with eco-friendly, water-based inks and available in sizes 3-24 months. The super fly old school-like …read more
Last Minute Father’s Day Gift!
June 11, 2008 by Jennifer
So, this gift is sooooo last minute, that you might not get it in time for Father’s Day, but I bet you money, he’ll love it anyhow. Late or not. You do have to give me a small break. I didn’t meet my own dad until about three years ago – this Father’s Day deal is pretty new (and a little awkward to me).
The gift idea:
Recycled Vinyl Art!
Now, I’ve discussed said vinyl art created by Daniel Edlen here before. Well twice actually. Please see:

Carry your little one in style
April 25, 2008 by Jennifer
Continuing with our look at Doudou bebe this week…
Baby carriers! I love baby carriers a lot. I had one with Cedar, and he was in it all the time. It left my hands free to do things (like eat) and even better kept him relaxed and calm. I’m convinced that the more you carry your little one, the less fussy he’ll be. Doudou bebe has some cool baby carriers.
The Ellaroo Mei Tai – Helsinki is really nice. Versatile and sturdy – it’s an all-around baby carrier that can be worn on front and back. According to the product …read more

In case you haven’t looked at a calendar lately, Mother’s Day is less than a month away. If Mom is a tree lover, consider this adorable Tree Hugger Necklace from The Happy Woman.
The necklace features an image from a vintage children’s book and glass from a reclaimed window. Each copper-patina pendant is hand soldered and comes on a waxed cotton cord. It’s also affordable at only $25.

Great Bedroom Print for Kids
April 15, 2008 by Jennifer
This poster is totally cute and mod, with great colors and it’s printed on recycled paper. It covers the endangered species of the British Isles from A to Z. I just love it. You little might just love it too. Or you – I think this would even look great in grown-up spaces, very soothing. Available at Present & Correct.
