In honor of Earth Day, PBS KIDS GO! is airing 5 special eco-friendly episodes of Arthur. This event kicked off today with an episode called the “The Cherry Tree” – “Muffy will do anything to have a gigantic Dream Bouncy Castle at her birthday party, or so she thinks. When her favorite cherry tree is cut down to make room for the castle in her yard, she starts to have regrets. I recently posted about Disneynature’s Earth – a great new movie opening on Earth Day 2009. However, being me, I left out one very important point about this flick.

Disneynature is celebrating the release of their premiere film, Earth, by planting a tree in honor of every moviegoer who sees the film in its opening week. So the die hard candy fans out there might know that April 22; Earth Day, is also National Jelly Bean Day.  Odd but true. Actually seeing as how NJBD launched way back in the 1860s, one might say that National Jelly Bean Day is also Earth Day.
