BPA-free Green to Grow Baby Bottles
September 14, 2008 by Peggy

These cute bottles for baby are BPA- and phthalate-free.
And who knows, your little one may even enjoy the perky design too. The bottles are made of heat-resistant PES plastic.
Plus, Green to Grow bottles are dishwasher safe and won’t leach. Available in 5 and 10 ounce sizes at Green to Grow and reusablebags.com.
Are you concerned about BPA in baby bottles?

With all of the issues regarding BPA in plastics, I went in search of safe bottles and Green to Grow bottles are definitely my favorite. My daughter switched from Dr. Brown Bottles at 7 months old and was fine with the transition (it helps that the Green to Grow bottles also fit the Dr. Brown nipples to ease the transition.) I liked them so much that we know stock them at http://www.WhatEveryBabyNeeds.com, where we also stock The Safe Sippy, bpa-free Sippy Cup.
I thought i was on the right track cutting the #7 plastic from the kitchen and the known BPA products from our nursery; but my hubby, a chemical engineer, told me that if companies take the BPA out of the bottles, cans, etc., they will just have to replace it with another chemical to strengthen the plastic…
Have you read anything more about this? Other than switch to glass?
Erinski, Welcome to Tree Hugging Family.
Sorry, I don’t know any specifics about what would be used to strengthen plastic in the absence of BPA. As the shift continues, more info is likely to become available.
Glass is certainly easier to recycle, so it might be the right choice for many…
