In any case thanks all for the comments :) @Condo good idea, saving event bags. It bugs me to always carry around logo bags - but my brain is funny that way, too many visuals and I get fuzzy. We think it is a really good story! We take burlap from coffee roasters that would be otherwise sent to landfill, work with The ARC who serves individuals with developmental disabilities to hand make the bags, and sell them to individuals and organizations. When I go to an event (ex. Race For the Cure) or festival I save the bags with corporate logos on them and use them for my shopping bags. Sometimes I cute them up by covering the logo with fabric or a design but most of the time the undecorated bags live in the trunk of my car ready for shopping, the library, or a day with the dog in the park.
