I think it smacks of corporatism and is setting Al Gore and David Blood up to be multi-billionaires in the new scam that will result: the buying and selling of carbon credits. Blood and Gore seems rather fitting don't you think? Please explain how a polluter helps the environment by giving Blood and Gore and order to buy carbon credits from another company that is under quota? The company just buys their way out, claims they are 'green' and, because of the offsets, is deemed environmentally friendly. The human race has been doomed to enslavement through the condemnation of CO2, the lifeblood of plants and trees, as a toxic gas. For shame. When will the human race understand that climate change is cyclical and that human civilization is an insignificant speck in the process. The only one that loses out is Mother Nature. See what all of you tree-huggers have spawned? I know your intentions were good, but in your naivety your entire movement has been co-opted by Oligarchs, Banksters, and Financial Terrorists. Want to do something good? Tell the military to shut down Project Harp in Alaska. After that get to work on scooping up the flotilla of plastic flotsam and jetsam adrift in the Pacific Ocean. Mother Nature has done an excellent job of putting the bulk of it in one place. Your intentions are good but they are not focused on the proper targets. And as is disappear back into the ether of the Internet, please remember that the 'Inconvenient Truth' is anything but truth and you will be on the path to enlightenment. Actually, I'm still not so much on board with Earth Hour. I wasn't last year, and I'm not this year. I never participate. Grand gestures don't strike me as much as everyday green living. However, I think he's wrong. He's right about people, people do a lot of stupid things, and many do act arrogant, that part I agree with, and in that arrogance, they do things that are bad for the planet, habitat, what have you. The point about people wanting to clean up the planet for themselves isn't far off - I mean do you want to live surrounded by McMansions and in a town with overflowing landfills? I don't but we do, and why, because of people. No matter the cause of the issue, there are places on earth that humans are ruining - the planet didn't do it on its own. It's not selfish to want to preserve some of these spaces you know. The video is not totally off base, but it also, in many cases, only provides opinions not facts.
